The clifftop location of this detached house is one of the most breathtaking you could imagine. Overlooking Port Gaverne cove and Port Isaac on Cornwalls north coast, the split-level design is enhanced by the sea views from the front of the house, the raised patio (see photograph) and almost every room. Fronting the grounds is the coastal footpath which leads along this unspoiled stretch of coastline. Set in an acre of grounds, the gardens and patio are not enclosed, so please take care with toddlers, but if you take the ten minute stroll down the hill to the cove you will find the little beach is ideal for children and there is safe bathing. There is ample parking space at Silver Spray if you wish to bring your own boat. A boat can be launched from Port Gaverne, a friendly place with a pub just a few yards from the beach. The pub has an excellent restaurant as does the hotel just across the way from Silver Spray. There are some superb sandy beaches within easy driving distance south to Polzeath and Rock, or north to Trebarwith and Tintagel. The front door opens into the dining-room with patio doors to the rear garden and views over open countryside. The back door has a ramped access which, together with the ground floor bedrooms and bathroom, makes it ideal for the elderly. A large, fully fitted kitchen leads to the spacious living-room, where enchanting sea views can be admired from the bay window and the large glass doors leading onto the patio. At the far end of the wing is the sitting-room with double glass doors leading to the balcony. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a bathroom with a sloping ceiling and a sunken bath. The lower ground floor has two further bedrooms and a shower-room. Accommodation Ground Floor Facilities & Services Miscellaneous | ||||||||||||||||||||||
